I made three attempts to climb this Munro; the first one cost me a twisted ankle and three months long break of walking; the second one I had to turn back because of the weather. Finally the third attempt was successful.

This hill was my first one climbed in Scotland. Reaching the summit takes 1.5-2 hours; so this is nice place for 4 hours long walk.

This Munro I climbed up as my first. Almost all the day up the hill was covered with clouds; but I was close to the summit when the clouds went up and uncovered beautiful view.

For long time this area was a secret place; I decided to explore the Cairngorms in late spring 2009 climbing Bynack Mor. That was the beginning.

I will remember the route around Loch Affric for all my life: swarms of horse-flies stung me mercilessly. During my way back the flies were replaced by torrential rain.
